Come August, Albertans will get the chance to travel to local farms to see where they can purchase locally-grown food.

Students from Kindergarten through Grade 9 in and around Lethbridge learned about agriculture in a fun way April 29-30.

As Alberta’s Livestock Price Insurance Program expands across Western Canada this month, demand for price insurance in Alberta is growing as cattle producers in southern Alberta and across the province witness cattle prices that have been hitting record highs over the last few months.

The Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation (SCIC) is reminding producers April 30 is the deadline to enrol in the 2014 AgriStability Program and pay program fees, without penalty.
