Van Rootselaars a BMO Farm Family award winner

According to Bill Van Rootselaar, naming the family business was something of a flash of inspiration.

The agricultural industry has seen remarkable changes since 1904 when Ron Wickstrom’s great-grandfathers came from Missouri and Ontario to homestead in the Berrywater area, a little to the northeast of Vulcan. Even a generation later, when Ron’s grandparents came to the area from Minnesota, many farming practices were the same.

Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) officials have had a busy summer gathering feedback for the ABP plan review. Even if producers could not attend one of the four plan review town hall meetings held in late July, they still have until the end of August to offer input through an ABP Plan Review discussion paper which can be downloaded from the ABP’s website.
