Salute to Ag Safety is coming up

This March, the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) and the Canadian Federation of Agriculture (CFA) are encouraging producers to talk about farm safety as part of Canadian Agricultural Safety Week (CASW), which runs from March 9-15.

Joe Anglin, MLA for Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre was the guest speaker at the Feb. 6 annual general meeting of the Alberta Grazing Leaseholder’s Association which was held at the Medicine Hat Lodge.

Alberta Service Board program manager Maureen Vadnais provided an overview of ASB operations, grant application updates and a pest report for delegates of the 2014 Provincial ASB Conference in Medicine Hat which was held near the end of January.

Markets should remain favourable for beef producers

Anne Wasko, a market analyst for Gateway Livestock Exchange based in Taber and president of Cattle Trends Inc., spoke about future trends in the cattle business at the 2014 Provincial Agricultural Service Board conference in Medicine Hat the end of January.
