Broadview Ranch earns Farm Family designation

As part of the Calgary Stampede, BMO Bank of Montreal and the Calgary Stampede recognized 17 southern Alberta families who best represent the values of the family farmer to society.

Mother Nature may not have been nice July 14, but rain did not stop approximately 40 agronomists and area producers from taking in the Farming Smarter morning field tour, held at their trial plots east of Veinerville.

AWC-sponsored entrant earns Nuffield Scholarship

The Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC) announced on July 14 Kristina Polziehn as the first-ever AWC-sponsored recipient of the Nuffield Canada Scholarship.

Saskatchewan has an abundance of natural resources including Uranium, base metals, precious metals, oil, potash and sulfate salts. All of these resources contain some components that can be harmful to human beings when ingested. 

The Alberta Sugar Beet Growers recently welcomed Melody Garner-Skiba as a new executive director.

The Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) is seeking nominations for the 2017 Environmental Stewardship Award (ESA).

During the Saskatchewan Cutting Horse Association (SCHA) Show at Frontier Days Exhibition, July 1, the Dave Whittall Award was presented to Wayne Knapp.
