Emergency generator adds safety to Health Centre

A new $400,000 emergency generator will provide back-up power at the Raymond Health Centre in the unlikely event the regular power supply is disrupted by weather or other factors. The generator will supply emergency power to the facility so patient care can be maintained during a power outage.

High winds, grass fire causing havoc near Granum

Volker Stevin with the assistance of Fort Macleod RCMP and Claresholm RCMP are redirecting traffic on Highway 2 at Highway 519.  Northbound traffic is currently stopped and Southbound traffic is being rerouted to Highway 519.

One can’t help but notice the heavy snow boots still parked in the corner of the closet, as the heart of winter approaches, but grass can still be seen throughout most of southern Alberta. Not to worry though, apparently father winter hasn’t forgotten us.
