Coaldale set to host second annual family fun run

Last year’s event was a major success and this year’s is shaping up to be even better.

Cowley wind farm temporarily shut down

Residents in the Pincher Creek region may have noticed something different in their view to the north, as the blades on the turbines at the area’s oldest wind farm have suddenly come to a halt. However, it won’t be long before they’re turning again.

Opened in 1985, the Crowsnest Museum is now faced with a possible closure, although staff at the museum is hopeful the closure will be temporary.

March 23, the newest of the RCMP’s 111 detachments in Alberta was officially commissioned today in Fort Macleod, a community served by the mounted police since 1874. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by federal Minister of State (Finance) Ted Menzies, Alberta Solicitor General and Minister of Public Security Jonathan Denis, Alberta Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Evan Berger and Deputy Commissioner Dale McGowan, Commanding Officer of “K” Division RCMP.
