HSAS reaches tentative agreement, ends strike

One of the longest health labour disputes in Saskatchewan’s history has come to an end without either side returning to the bargaining table.

The tentative agreement reached between health care employers and the Health Sciences Negotiating Committee represents progress from the so-called ‘final offer’ that SAHO presented to the union one month ago, Health Sciences President Cathy Dickson said.

(CP) The federal government will fund a clinical trial of a controversial treatment for multiple sclerosis patients but it could be years before so-called liberation therapy is widely available in Canada.
