The Swift Current Agricultural and Exhibition Association (Ag & Ex) had a successful year during 2017, despite some financial challenges.

For grain farmers from western Canada to get paid for their product, the grain must first be delivered and the longer it takes for the rail companies to start transporting the grain, the harder it will be for farmers who are in the midst of preparing for the upcoming seeding while still waiting to be paid for last year's grain.

Swift Current outdoor rinks to close for the season

The five outdoor rinks and shacks in Swift Current will be closed for the season as of 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 11.

 The Swift Current Broncos announced on Tuesday afternoon that the Arizona Coyotes have signed Broncos' forward Tyler Steenbergen to a three-year entry-level contract.

Thanks to funding through the 2017 Kitchen Creations Fund offered by Food Banks Canada and Unilever, Interfaith Food Bank is now offering Shop Smart and Collective Kitchen programs, free for community members.
