OWC has major help through volunteers and members

The Oldman Watershed Council is a staple part of southern Alberta’s efforts to maintain and take care of the precious watershed taking up 23,000km of southwest Alberta.

On Nov. 16, the Government of Saskatchewan announced it will donate up to $100,000 in matching cash donations to the Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association Wildfire Relief Fund set up to help farmers and ranchers impacted by recent grassfires in the province’s southwest.

After celebrating its 50th anniversary last year, the Potato Growers of Alberta association (PGA) have decided to compose a history book titled A Window to the Past and anniversary cookbook A Potato on Every Plate which will both be released this November to celebrate the successful potato growing industry within the province.
