Vintage Wings of Canada pilots Todd Lemieux and Gord Simmons arrived at Swift Current airport on June 7 with Vintage Wings of Canada's "Yellow Wings" Boeing Stearman biplane en route to Calgary.

Lemieux is flying along in his own plane, a North American T-28 Trojan. They will be in Swift Current over the weekend to allow people to visit the World War Two era biplane, one of only a few remaining examples of the 300 original aircraft that were purchased and employed in Alberta in 1942.

Members of the public can enjoy a ride in this historic airplane at a cost of $125 for Vintage Wings of Canada membership and a $250 sponsorship to cover fuel and maintenance cost. The South West Flying Club is also hosting a Wings and Wheels Day on Saturday, June 9, that will start at 8:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast.
