Americana roots group Steel Wheels will be stopping in Swift Current to perform at the Lyric Theatre on April 5, as part of the Blenders music series. This dynamic four-piece string band focuses on a more 'stripped down' kind of sound, featuring acoustic instruments and vocal harmonies.

Following up on her reading last summer, author Corinne Jeffery will be making another appearance the Swift Current Library to read from the newest book in her Understanding Ursula trilogy – Thriving: 1920-1939. The series follows a German Lutheran family who have fled Russia, and are now pioneering near Melville, SK.

Audiences still have one more weekend to catch Swift Current Little Theatre’s spring production of Norm Foster’s Old Love, after the group’s successful opening last weekend. Pub Nights will be held at Great Plains College on March 22 & 23.
