Public meeting about Swift Current downtown master plan, April 19, 2016

Written by

A weeklong visit to Swift Current by members of the downtown master plan consulting team provided an opportunity for residents to learn more about the progress with this initiative and to provide their own ideas for the future of the area. The first public consultation for the project took place in November 2015. The consultations during the latest visit by the consulting team included a public meeting at a downtown location on April 19. The consulting team presented ideas for redevelopment or improvements at 12 sites in the downtown area during the meeting, including streetscape and façade improvements. Residents can continue to provide input on three different aspects of the downtown initiative. A project webpage has been created where they can indicate the area they consider to be part of the downtown, they can comment on the 12 project ideas for downtown redevelopment, and they can identify their own ideas for downtown improvements on an interactive map. To provide feedback, visit the website at http://www.citypushpin.com/projects.php
