The Saskatoon indie rock band League of Wolves was received with a lot of enthusiasm during the sold-out release party for their first album at Lucky Charlie's Pub and Pool in Swift Current, April 3. The four League of Wolves band members – Dillon Currie (vocals, guitar), Aspen Beveridge (vocals, guitar), Greig Beveridge (drums, vocals) and Ethan Stork (bass) – have strong roots in southwest Saskatchewan and they all grew up in Maple Creek. They had strong hometown support at the release party in Swift Current, with a busload of people travelling from Maple Creek to attend the celebration. Their debut album, titled League of Wolves, was recorded entirely in an abandoned old schoolhouse in Piapot that was saved by the Beveridge family.
