Speedy Dawg Agility Trial in Swift Current, July 18-20, 2014

Dog owners from across the prairies were in Swift Current from July 18 to 20 to participate in the annual Speedy Dawg Agility Trial in Riverside Park. Participants completed 577 runs during the weekend and 123 runs were qualifiers. Competition coordinator Lori Langen of the Speedy Dawg Club said the 21.5 per cent qualifier rate is very good. Swift Current's Dave Langen and Storm, a seven-year-old Hungarian Vizsla, earned their Starters Dog of Canada title during the weekend. Regina's Judy Ganshorn and Daiquiri, a Pomeranian, earned their Agility Trial Champion of Canada title.
