Swift Current Telus Motorcycle 2nd Annual Ride for Dad, June 7, 2014

Written by

The 2nd annual Swift Current Telus Motorcycle Ride for Dad took place on June 7, starting in the Living Sky Casino parking lot. There were 175 registered participants for the event and around 140 motorcycles roared through the streets of Swift Current during the parade. The day-long event included a poker rally that took riders to Hazenmore, Lafleche and Cadillac before returning to Swift Current. This year's Ride for Dad raised over $54,000 for the fight against prostate cancer. Motorcyclists came from far and wide to participate, with the furthest rider from La Ronge. Swift Current is the venue for one of only two Ride for Dad events in Saskatchewan and the other one is taking place in Saskatoon on June 14.
