Kyle's That Kritical Stage presents "Homecoming" at TheatreFest 2014, April 22

The Kyle community theatre group That Kritical Stage entertained the audience at TheatreFest 2014 in Swift Current on April 22 with the presentation of the heartwarming comedy Homecoming by Saskatchewan playwright Leeann Minogue. Danny Hannouch as life-long farmer Jerry Wilson is struggling to come to terms with retirement. He harasses his son and daughter-in-law until they leave town and then carries on farming while hiding the truth from the rest of the town. Other cast members are Trudee Smith, Doug Hodgins, Becky Walker and Paulette Thompson, who also directed. The provincial full-length play festival takes place from April 21 to 26 at the Beatty Playhouse in Swift Current, hosted by Swift Current Little Theatre, with the presentation of a play each night by a different theatre group as well as public workshops on April 24. Festival awards will be presented after the final performance on April 26.
