Write Out Loud at the Lyric Theatre, March 21, 2018

Saskatoon-area writer Dave Margoshes was the featured author at Write Out Loud, March 21. He is an award-winning writer and his published works include three novels, five volumes of poetry, several books of short stories, a biography of Tommy Douglas, and various contributions to magazines and anthologies. His latest book of poetry, A Calendar of Reckoning, will be published this spring. The Write Out Loud series, which takes place at the Lyric Theatre in Swift Current, presents readings by Canadian authors to local literary fans. The next event on April 18 will feature First Nations poet and residential school survivor Louise Bernice Halfe. She has won various prestigious awards and she is a former Poet Laureate of Saskatchewan. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
