Swift Current Skateboarding Inc. (SCSI), a non-profit organization that was officially launched last fall, held its first skateboard competition at the Lt. Colonel Clifton Centre, Feb. 24. Contestants competed in three categories, based on skill levels. The event provided participants with an opportunity to have some fun in a friendly atmosphere. SCSI hosts a skateboard night every Thursday evening at the Lt. Colonel Clifton Centre from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Below are the results from the SCSI skateboard competition:

Beginner: 1st Raeya Hartley, 2nd Jude Pritchard, 3rd Peydence Hartley; Intermediate: 1st Tyson Huxted, 2nd Jasper Toye, 3rd Jaden Toye; Advance/Open: 1st Mario Villeneuve, 2nd Taylor Wotypka, 3rd Nick Desloges; Best Wipeout: Griffin Funk; Best use of Park: Jeremy Brumwell.
