New Year's Eve party for families in Swift Current, Dec. 31, 2017

Written by

There was a good turnout at the New Year's Eve family drop-in party in Swift Current, Dec. 31. A total of 420 people signed in for the event. Due to the very cold conditions the outdoor sleigh rides had to be cancelled, but there were still a lot of fun stuff for children inside Walker Place, including face painting, two bouncy houses, and dance music. There were hourly New Year's Eve countdowns, which added to the excitement at the event. This was the fifth year that the drop-in party took place to give families with young children an opportunity to celebrate the start of the new year in a fun atmosphere. It is hosted by the Parent Support Network, a group of agencies that provide support services to families in the Swift Current area.
