SCCHS Colts host Moose Jaw Central Cyclones for Thursday Night Lights, Sept. 14, 2017

Written by

A large crowd attended the Thursday Night Lights football game between the Swift Current Comprehensive High School Colts and the visiting Moose Jaw Central Collegiate Cyclones, Sept. 14.  It was the fourth year the Colts hosted a game under lights, but this was the first time that the night game was also the team's home opener. The team had a good start to the season the previous week, when the Colts won 39-14 against the Eagles in Weyburn. Their home opener did not go as planned for the Colts and they lost 34-14 to the Cyclones. The Colts were playing defence for most of the first half and the Cyclones had a 21-0 lead at halftime. The Moose Jaw team extended their lead to 34-0 in the fourth quarter, when Colts players Nic Bachiu and Brady McCarty-Moen scored touchdowns for the home team.
