Electric vehicle owners gather in Swift Current for National Drive Electric Week, Sept. 13, 2017

Written by

A gathering of electric vehicle owners took place in Swift Current during National Drive Electric Week to raise awareness about plug-in electric vehicles, Sept. 13. The event took place at the Kal Tire premises in downtown Swift Current, the only location of a charging station for electric vehicles in the city. Five fully electric cars, one plug-in hybrid vehicle and an electric-powered bicycle were on display. In addition to Swift Current electric vehicle owner Lloyd Fehr the other vehicles came from Moose Jaw, Regina, Creighton, and Fort Macleod, Alberta. This was the second year that Swift Current was a location for a National Drive Electric Week event in Saskatchewan. During the week of Sept. 9-17 there were similar events for electric vehicle owners in Regina, Moose Jaw and Saskatoon.
