Written by

Grade 4 students from four different schools in Swift Current (Centennial, Central, Fairview and Irwin) had an opportunity to learn where the food items for their hamburger and fries are coming from during a Burger Ranch event at the Wheatland Conservation Area's plots just east of the city, Sept. 27. A total of 146 students attended the event in groups during morning and afternoon sessions. The event was hosted by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture Regional Services Branch in association with Agriculture in the Classroom, and with sponsorship from local agriculture businesses.
