7th Annual Rusty Cage fun run, Aug. 27, 2016

Written by

The 7th annual Rusty Cage Fun Run on Aug. 27 was the largest ever gathering of motorcycle riders since the start of this event. It is organized by a group of Swift Current area motorcycle enthusiasts to raise funds for charity. This year’s ride was attended by 110 riders on 85 motorcycles. The fun run started in downtown Swift Current and the group travelled to Morse, Hodgeville, Hazenmore and Cadillac before returning to the city. The event raised a total of $5,130 for the STARS Air Ambulance. Proceeds from each year’s fun run are donated to a different charity. Beneficiaries from previous fun runs were the SPCA, Canadian Mental Health Association, KidSport, the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation and the Salvation Army food bank.
