Swift Current Research and Development Centre hosts low-input and organic agricultural systems field day, Aug. 9, 2016

Producers were able to learn more about organic and other field trials  at the Swift Current Research and Development Centre (SCRDC) low-input and organic agricultural systems field day, Aug. 9. This year's event was very well attended with over 100 registrants. The tour to visit the field trials and demonstration plots took place during the morning. Participants returned to SCRDC for lunch and presentations by a variety of speakers in the afternoon. A new addition to this year’s field day was be a display of field equipment as well as a demonstration of a CombCut tool, which is used for mechanical weed control.
