There has been a steady increase in the water volumes released from Duncairn Dam into the Swift Current Creek. On April 3 the flow rate increased from 200 to 400 cubic feet per second (cfs) and on April 4 it increased to 600 cfs. The higher flow rate will speed up the clearing of ice and snow from the creek channel and also increase storage potential in the dam.

Below are video and photos of the water flow over the Duncairn Dam spillway on April 3. Other photos show the water runoff as a result of melting ice and snow in the rural area southwest of Swift Current between the city and the Duncairn Dam reservoir.
