For years the members of The Leahy Family have played, danced and shared their music throughout the world, gaining critical acclaim and accolades for their musicality, talent and performance.

Now in a new grouping, The Leahys  will visit the Sky Centre for one show on Friday, April 29.
Arts Council President Melanie Friesen explains, “Several members of the group are part of Leahy, well-known and established performance artists on the Canadian music scene, known for their instrumental, celtic, traditional and roots music.”
Friesen adds because the Leahy family are so well know, she expects tickets will move quickly.
This incarnation of The Leahys sees the group delving further into their love of singing and song-writing. They draw from their individual interests and influences in music, and blend not just their voices, but their stories, instruments, musical styles, and harmonies. Their combined creativity results in richly layered melodies, lyrics and music.
Audiences can expect solid and energetic performances along with their trade-mark stand-out musicianship.
Tickets for the concert are available online for $45 at www.ticketpro.ca or by phoning 1-888-655-9090. If there are any remaining tickets, they will be sold at the door for the same price.
The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Sky Centre. For more information see: www.scartscouncil.ca.
