The entire hamlet of Rosebud loves giving local people the opportunity to create, listen, and experience live music.

Now going into its 8th year, our annual Festival has awakened a performing arts culture that celebrates artistic diversity. Whether you’re dancing on your toes to a Canadian Badlands folk song, appreciating the thrill of rock n’ roll, or bopping in your lawn chair to some snappy Big Band – you’ll be swept into an experience you’ll never forget. Watch a 15 Minute live painting. Walk down Vendors Lane. Laugh to Comedic improvisation. Eat Ice Cream!
“15 Minutes of Fame – Rosebud’s annual outdoor Music Festival has distinctively staked its place on Alberta's music festival map,” explains  Carmen Paterson, Event Manager. “It’s hard to believe that this is our 8th year. The Festival has grown from a simple idea that started out with a few musically inclined friends in Rosebud. Today, it is a total regional event that has spread throughout the Badlands and surrounding areas and gains more momentum and recognition each year.
“With the ongoing acceleration of corporate driven festivals, it is refreshing to see a small festival progressively grow every year, and still maintain its initial concept. In addition to the amazing talent we have on stage, organizers are introducing Vendors Lane and an Art Tent. Event goers can receive delicious home-cooked meals and locally made ice cream. We’ve even brought in entertainers to offer comedic improvisation.”
8th annual family friendly music festival features Me & the Mrs.; The Heartwicks; Kyla Ferrier; Jessica Benini; Justine Vandergrift and Aaron Krogman.
The site location is just east of Rosebud Opera House on Main Street.  Labour Day Sunday Sept. 1, noon-10 p.m.
Advance tickets: individual $18/family $45. At the gate: individual $20/family $50 (cash only).
“There are very few music festivals in Alberta that are family friendly – ours is one of them," added Patterson. "Meanwhile, for those looking for something personal - Rosebud entrepreneur and artist Randall Wiebe will demonstrate his gift for creating canvas portrait masterpieces in just 15 minutes. In 2014, we are hopeful of building a more permanent stage to better house our performers and attract larger audiences. Oh, did I forget to mention that the parking is free?”
