For the last show of the season, the Blenders Music Series is excited to present the Slocan Ramblers on Saturday, April 21 at the Lyric Theatre in Swift Current.

The Slocan Ramblers is Canada’s young bluegrass band to watch! They are rooted in tradition, fearlessly creative and possess a bold, dynamic sound.
The opening act for the Slocan Ramblers is the alternative-country band, Wolf Willow.
The Slocan Ramblers have emerged as a leading light in Canada’s roots music scene and are known for their energetic live shows and impeccable musicianship. This group features Frank Evans on Banjo, Adrian Gross on Mandolin, Darryl Poulsen on guitar, and Alastair Whitehead on bass. These musicians have the uncanny ability to convert anyone who hears them into a lifelong fan, and their music is without pretentions. The Slocan Ramblers like to maintain the raw excitement that makes their music so vibrant and always try to bring the live, collaborative aspects of their music to the fore.
In 2012, the Slocan Ramblers released their debut album “Shaking Down the Acorns” and in 2015, released their newest album “Coffee Creek”. They are also the recipients of the 2015 Edmonton Folk Fest Emerging Artist Award. As Now Magazine has said, “Toronto’s Slocan Ramblers live up to their name on their sophomore record (Coffee Creek). In fact, it’s hard to sit still while listening to their caffeinated, toe-tapping tunes. The record seems made for movement”.
This is a performance that you will make you want to stand up, move, and enjoy the music just as much as the Slocan Ramblers do!
The shows goes April 21 at 8:30 p.m.
Doors open 7:30 p.m.
Music starts 8:30 p.m.
If you haven’t got a ticket yet, you are out of luck. The show was sold out earlier this week.
