This year's Regina Folk Festival promises an excellent lineup of incredible performers from across the country – including Swift Current's very own bluegrass band, The Midnight Roses.

This year, Swift Current Ag & Ex celebrates the 75th anniversary of Frontier Days. This exciting annual event will be extra special this year, with upgraded entertainment over the course of three nights, instead of their usual two.

Kicking off on June 20 in Swift Current, Long Day’s Night music festival promises four nights of fantastic music under a big-top tent at Marston Street and 11th Avenue SW. The festival, now in its 11th year, provides a great way to enjoy the longest nights of the year with an impressive lineup of entertainment.

Local post-rock group Over The Air will be hosting a CD release concert at the Lyric Theatre on June 8, giving music lovers the chance to check out their live show before picking up a copy of their newest album, Cold Hands.

Myshel Pajuaar (lead vocals), Eliza Doyle (banjo) , Liza Holder (guitar, mandolin) and Paula McGuigan (upright bass), otherwise known as the Midnight Roses are hosting a CD release party at the Lyric Theatre May 31 for their new, well-crafted effort Say Darlin’ Say.

Fasten your seat belts folks as The Flippin’ Fiddler Scott Woods and his band will soon be in the area with an incredible old time show called Swingin’ Fiddles.
