On Saturday, April 16 Blenders is hosting Canadian folk musician, John Wort Hannam.

The Fort Macleod, Alta. native is known for his story telling through his unique and heartrending lyrics and music.
In 13 years of being a working musician, John has released five albums, capturing a Juno nomination for Best Traditional/Roots Album, and a Canadian Folk Music Award for Album of the Year. Wort Hannam’s winsome, lonesome and style of acoustic roots, reveal a woven textile of metaphor, phrasing, irony, and rhyme that reads with ease like a well-written prose. He is one of the new trailblazers of a vast songwriting tradition that is proudly Canadian.
Wort Hannam’s narrative and achingly resilient writing has a unique approach that hooks the listener immediately. His songs are filled with a roots-country feel that speaks of a true Prairies heritage.
Join us April 16 at the Lyric Theatre. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 and are available at Pharmasave.
