Swift Current Little Theatre is almost ready for its spring production of Be My Baby, a comedy by Ken Ludwig.

The play is set in both Scotland and San Francisco in the early 1960s. It sees an older Scottish man, John, and older English lady, Maud, reluctantly travel to San Francisco to bring a newborn baby home to their young relatives Gloria and Christy who are recently married.
Their trip is complicated by fear of flying, illness, court delays and many colourful characters who cross their paths, and most of all by their intense dislike for each other. Then they meet the one person who makes the whole journey worthwhile.
The play features a creative set design to accommodate many location changes, as well as props and costumes to reflect the 1960’s era. Starring in the cast are John Leyshon as John and Teresa Cole as Maud. Four actors play multiple roles: Kurtis Bakanec,  Shayla Kulferst, Brian O’Hara and newcomer Enid Unrau-Loewen.
The play is directed by Tara Garcia and Ron Toles.
Tickets are on sale at Pharmasave for one dinner theatre on April 8 for $40 a ticket which includes a catered buffet dinner by the K Motel and cash bar.
Two pub nights will be held  April 9 and April 16 for $20/ticket which includes a cash bar, snacks and a light cold cut luncheon during the intermission. The  regular performance  will be held Friday, April 15 for $10. Any remaining tickets for the pub nights and regular show will be sold at the door. All shows are held at the Beatty Playhouse in Great Plains College Gym.
