Samuel Deason is a highly distinguished young pianist who will grace the Sky Centre stage on April 6 at 7:30 p.m.

At the age of only 25, he is already a multiple international competition prizewinner, recording artist, recitalist and chamber musician.
Swift Current Arts Council President Melanie Friesen notes, “Deason has performed at music festivals in Banff, Orford, Gijon, and Toronto in past years and he will present a new project on his visit here.”
Deason’s  “Kaleidoscope” is a project crafted to delve the depths of emotion and color.  Although each composer in the program is famous and brilliant by their own right, some of the pieces are quite rarely heard by a live audience, with Respighi’s Notturno as an example. Deason believes this mix of music is just the right one to balance, inspire, and zap one’s physical energies, and musical palate.
Deason performed Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 2 under maestro Peter Oundjian as part of the inaugural season of Toronto's new Koerner Hall, and performed in the world premiere of R. Murray Schafer's commissioned work, Spirits of the House.
Tickets for the concert are available online for $45 at or by calling 1-888-655-9090.
Any remaining tickets, they will be sold at the door for the same price. The performance begins at 7:30pm at the Sky Centre. For more information see
