Hold onto your coconuts as Medicine Hat Musical Theatre catapults you back 1,000 years.

Just when you thought you knew the story of King Arthur and the Holy Grail, they have added Monty Python’s Eric Idle. You are invited to join King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table in their quest for glory as they confront killer rabbits, the  Knights who say Ni, the Lady of the Lake and the dreaded Black Knight.
Add rescuing a  “damsel” in distress, rocking Camelot, facing French taunters and cattle tossing … OK, perhaps it sounds silly, but everyone dances and sings in tune, most of the time, and looks on “the bright side of life” and it has a happy ending.
The original Broadway musical opened in 2005 and was nominated for 14 Tony Awards, winning three, including Best Musical. Its 1,500 performances on Broadway have been seen by more than two million. It has been performed in 22 countries so count yourself among the privileged few lucky to see it live in Medicine Hat … if you are lucky enough to get  tickets.
It will take place March 21-22; March 27-29 at 8 p.m. with a special 2 p.m. showing March 23. It goes at The Playhouse (1221 10th Ave. S.W.) in Medicine Hat.
To purchase tickets head over to the website at www.mhmtheatre.com or phone 403-502-3477.
