A Write Out Loud showcase of local authors on Feb. 21

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, Swift Current’s Write Out Loud is pleased to present a program that features talented local authors.

Tina Marie Letwiniuk has lived in Swift Current since the 1970’s, and writing has always been an interest for her. In 2015 she won an online writing challenge with a piece based on the passing of her husband.  Joining the local Prairie Quills Writers’ Group has given her the motivation to pursue writing more earnestly, and now she holds the position of President of the group.
As one of North America’s leading severe weather photographers, Craig Hilts seeks and photographs unique weather moments and turns them into works of art. His photos have won multiple awards, been featured in numerous publications, and are on display at the Biosphere Museum in Montreal. Craig’s latest collection, Living Skies, offers breathtaking images of Saskatchewan’s ever-changing canopy. Check out his website at
Robin Matisho was a participant in last summer’s Sage Hill Teen Writing Program. Swift Current is one of five Sage Hill locations in Saskatchewan for teens ages 14-18. Robin is an accomplished dancer, enjoys reading and drawing, and is writing a work-in-progress novel series. She’s recently been published in a book of short stories written by young Canadians.
Rachel LaverdiereA born and raised in Swift Current, currently resides in Saskatoon. Her poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction pieces are published or forthcoming in a number of literary journals. Her flash fiction story was shortlisted for the Geist 2015 “Short Long-Distance Writing Contest”. For a glimpse of her engaging writing style, go to 
Write Out Loud commences February 21 at Swift Current’s Lyric Theatre.
Admission is $8. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
