On Saturday, Nov. 4 the Blenders Music Series is pleased to host two amazing groups at the Lyric Theatre in Swift Current.

Sweet Alibi is a Winnipeg-based folk/pop band that infuses its signature harmonies with influences of everything from folk to country to soul, without a hint of shame. Also that evening we will have Ontario born, singer-songwriter Jadea Kelly.
Sweet Alibi hails from Winnipeg and are fast becoming a well-known root and pop group. Their charming and personal performances have resulted in 3 album releases and 360+ shows to date. Established in 2009, the band is composed of three women: Amber Nielsen, Jessica Rae Ayre, and Michelle Anderson. These three women blend powerful vocal harmonies with the foot stomping energy of roots and sincere sound of folk music.
The band’s career first started with their initial self-titled album released in 2011 and their most recent album Walking in the Dark was released in November of 2015. Since then their third album has been featured on CBC, MTV Canada, CMT, satellite and college radio.
Opening the stage for Sweet Alibi is Jadea Kelly—a singer-songwriter from Whitby, Ontario. As winner of the 2016 ‘Contemporary Singer of the Year’ award from the Canadian Folk Music Awards, Kelly is an enigmatic performer whose work has earned her several impressive worldwide reviews. Kelly has also done multiple tours across North America and Europe. Her music guides the listener on a prolific journey towards light and surrender and Kelly’s recent release of her album Love & Lust is a compelling catalogue of desire, betrayal, and human frailty.
This is a concert you will not want to miss! Tickets are $35 and are available at Pharmasave. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and music will begin at 8:30 p.m. For more information about this show or the Blenders Music Series, check out our website,, or contact Shann Gowan at 306-778-2686, or  This email address is being protected from spambots.
