Three middle-aged people who decide to make a pornographic film after losing their jobs can have a variety of unintended consequences, especially if they use two actors who accidentally end up in their roles. That situation results in plenty of laughs in the comedy Skin Flick by Canadian playwright Norm Foster, which is the spring production by Swift Current Little Theatre.

If someone sees Swift Current music artist Glenna Switzer go up to her, (figuratively) pinch her and tell her she’s not dreaming.

Valdy set to perform in Swift Current Feb. 19

Valdy, Paul Valdemar Horsdal, born in Ottawa in 1945, has been part of the fabric of Canadian music for four decades and counting, more than 34 years, a man with a thousand friends, from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island to Texas to New Zealand. Valdy is a singer, guitarist and bassist songwriter who catches the small, but telling moments that make up life.

A couple on stage and in life, harpist Valérie Milot and violinist Antoine Bareil offer performances marked by exceptional artistry and intimate connection.

Coming to the Lyric Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 28 is David Gogo backed by Bill Hicks on drums and Jay Stevens on bass, who together create the David Gogo Trio.

The fiercely-talented foursome Rosie & the Riveters is set to charm your socks off at the Empress Theatre in Fort Macleod on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m.
