'RiderGirl' celebates being part of Rider Nation

‘RiderGirl’ Colleen Sutton is bringing her rowdy, hilarious, and moving show to the Lyric Theatre stage Aug. 11, showing Swift Current audiences what it’s like to be a die-hard Rider fan — and how one fan’s love of the Rider Nation has taught her lessons in all aspects of her life.

For over 30 years, Saskatchewan Express has been giving young people across the province the opportunity to spend either their summer or winter months touring the prairies and gaining valuable experience as singers and dancers.


Tumbleweed Theatre is making a bold and original return to Evergreen Park in Brooks with its most ambitious production yet —The Penny/Cash Wedding — an original, locally-written and interactive three-part wedding complete with ceremony, meal, dance, and reception.

 The Lyric Theatre’s Chautauqua Theatre Festival kicked off on Thursday this week, bringing six unique one-act plays to theatre lovers in the southwest. With many return performers and new acts as well, this year’s lineup offers something for everyone.


The Lyric Theatre's annual Chautauqua Theatre Festival kicks off on July 11 in Swift Current, and promises a busy weekend full of fantastic one-act plays for theatre lovers of any age.

Rehearsals for the Canadian Badlands Passion Play are well underway as the more than 200 performers and 400 volunteers get ready to present the dramatic retelling of the life of Jesus Christ this July.
