Swift Current United Way gets some help

Caryn and Brad Woods are excited to assist the Swift Current United Way get their 2017 Fundraising started as they presented Executive Director, Stacey Schwartz a cheque for $560 at the United Way office in Swift Current.

The Swift Current United Way is supporting the work of 10 non-profit agencies in the region during 2017.

For most of us, we have charitable groups or causes that we give to. Often it is an impulse gift based on an event, or an emerging need, in spite of the fact we as donors understand the ongoing need these groups face.

On Dec. 12 the Rotary Club of Swift Current, District 5360 presented a $3,000 cheque to the Swift Current Comprehensive High School Music Department in support of their annual Rotary Jazz Band retreat in the Cypress Hills.

Efforts for Swift Current food bank appreciated

The ongoing support of Hutterite colonies in southwest Saskatchewan for the food bank in Swift Current is making a difference to people in need throughout the year.

Support from local producers helped South West Terminal (SWT) to make a record donation of $53,436.60 to the Swift Current Salvation Army in support of the local food bank.
