Port plan moves forward for S.W. region

Despite rumblings of a closure, the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority will continue to operate in Swift Current.

Redcliff RCMP wish to advise the public that the boater that was reported to have fallen in the South Saskatchewan River on November 6th, 2010 has been located, deceased. 
Roman Drag, 48, of Calgary, Alberta, was last seen May 23, 2011 around 3:30 a.m. near the dam at the Bow River near Bassano, Alberta.

Man dies in collision with train

The driver of a semi-truck is dead after his truck and tanker collided with a Canadian Pacific Railway train.
The incident occurred just before 10 a.m. at the Range Road 114 level crossing, midway between Tilley and Suffield, said Mike LoVecchio, spokesperson for Canadian Pacific Railway.
