A new mountain biking club in Medicine Hat is making a difference in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park Alberta.
The 670 Collective Mountain Biking Club officially formed at the start of 2013.

This was the first summer in two decades provincial parks officials took over the operation of the campgrounds in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park Alberta and by all accounts it has been deemed a success.

While multi-grading isn’t new to Oyen Public School, what is new this year is having multi-grades together in junior high.

Many people who went out to Elkwater in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park Alberta this summer likely noticed something missing from the beach area.

Two southwest Saskatchewan students had the opportunity of a lifetime to perform on stage at the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Competition and then watch the 30  best fiddlers from across the country compete.

The small number of CUPE members in Redcliff working for the Prairie Rose School Division have a new three-year contract. PRSD trustees approved the new memorandum of agreement at the Sept. 10 regular meeting. It has already been ratified by the union.

Rabid Rabbit loose in southeast Alberta

For the Sackman family of Medicine Hat, building a monster ride truck was just about the challenge to see if they could do it.

Grades 10-12 students at South Central High School in Oyen will have the opportunity to connect with employers, post-secondary educators as well as entrepreneurs at the  first Return to Rural Career and Entrepreneurship Expo in the Wired West.

Thanks to funding from the provincial government and Municipal District of Acadia No. 34, as well as money from Prairie Rose School Division’s own capital reserves, the basement of Warren Peers School in Acadia Valley will finally be usable once again.

PRSD to offer Mennonite outreach program

Mennonite families in Redcliff will have a new option for their children’s education. As of Sept. 5, Prairie Rose School Division will offer a Mennonite Outreach Education Program in one of the schools in Redcliff, yet to be determined.
