Write Out Loud is pleased to host Shaunavon author, Dianne Greenlay, on March 16.

Greenlay is the author of the Quintspinner series, a rollicking pirate adventure story, which has won multiple awards, including Best Historical, Best Mystery, Best Commercial Novel, Best YA, and Book of the Year, and has gained nearly one million reads on the popular online site, Wattpad. Most recently, she has also published The Camping Guy, which won first place as Best Play at the TheatreOne Provincial Play competition (Saskatchewan), and was voted an Audience Fringe Festival Favourite.
The Quintspinner books, A Pirate’s Quest and Deadly Misfortune, have been praised as “the quintessential pirate adventure novel”, and “Lord of the Rings meets Pirates of the Caribbean.” Combining fast-paced action with gentle humour and an eye for detail, these books offer an adventurous escape from the everyday and an unflinchingly honest look into history.
In addition to writing, Greenlay is the creative director of the successful and long-running community theatre group, Darkhorse Theatre, and last year she also started a seniors’ choir called the Stayin’ Alive (Not Expired) choir.  The choir boasts a successful performance at the Frenchman River Jamboree last summer in Shaunavon, and they will be the featured entertainers at Write Out Loud in March.
Join us on the high seas for our March event, an evening of music, mystery and a little magic.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with music to begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $8.
