Dianne Warren will introduce her new novel, Liberty Street, at a special Write Out Loud event on Nov. 4, at the Lyric Theatre.

Liberty Street is her first novel since the 2010 publication of Cool Water, which won the Governor General’s Award.
Warren’s new novel is an exploration of memory, disappointment, anger and the redemptive power of kindness; it is a poignant and witty novel about rash acts and altered lives.
Set in small town Saskatchewan in the 1960s, the book is evocative of a time and place many of us easily recognize.
Accompanying Warren will be visual artist Heather M. Cline, who will work on a new, interactive project as part of the event.
Cline lives and works in Regina, where she teaches at the University of Regina. Having a keen interest in community engagement and art education, she also acts as the artist manager of an innovative distance education “Artist in the School” program.
Audience members are encouraged to arrive early in order to participate in the art installation she has planned for Write Out Loud.
Musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by Brad Gross and Greg Currie, members of the popular local band Rib Rash.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with music to begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $8.
The Lyric Theatre is located at 227 Central Avenue North in Swift Current.
