The Esplanade is throwing a huge ESPLANADE@TEN Birthday Party celebrating its 10th anniversary from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 24.

The entire building will be bustling with activities and entertainment for all ages. Children and the young at heart can personalize an ESPLANADE@TEN T-shirt with their own handprints.
There are free T-shirts for the under 10s while supplies lasts. They’ll also feature hands-on activities such as creating an ESPLANADE@TEN pennant and handling a First World War periscope. Everyone can explore historical 16 mm film footage through the eyes of an archivist, or take a behind-the-scenes tour of the theatre.
Be sure to plan to check out the new gallery exhibits. ESPLANADE@TEN is an exhibition celebrating past Esplanade performances, artifacts, photos and art collections from the past decade.
Two new Art Gallery exhibitions will showcase Peter Johnston: Entanglements and the Medicine Hat College Visual Communications Faculty Biannual.
Entertainers throughout the day include: 10:15 a.m. Wanderin’ Wallie — Musician Wallie Garrioch; 11:15  a.m. Gummee the Clown; 12:15 p.m. Andrew Plait-featuring music for children; 1:15  p.m. magician Trevor Moore; and 2:15 p.m. musician Mike Wilson.
