Documentary on Second World War commandos at MHPL Nov. 9

A documentary (Daring to Die: The Story of The Black Devils) and presentation on the elite Second World War commando force known as The Black Devils will be held on Sunday, Nov.  9 at 2 p.m. in the Medicine Hat Public Library Theatre.


Admission is free.

The First Special Service Force, also known as The Black Devils or The Devil’s Brigade, was made up of Canadian and American soldiers who went behind enemy lines during the Second World War. Eight Medicine Hat soldiers were among their number.
Join John Hart and Staff Sargeant Henry Planger, Black Devil vet, for a look at this fascinating piece of Second World War history.
