The City of Swift Current Recreation and Parks Department is proud to announce the return of The Hub Youth Centre, which is newly located at The Center (55 1st Ave. NE).

The Hub is a drop-in program which comes free of charge to all participants. Starting July 4th the youth centre will operate Monday to Friday from 1-9 p.m.

The Hub Youth Center has many events and activities planned for youth between the ages of 12 and 17.

Such activities include wall climbing, paintball, horseback riding, sport clinics, a community kitchen, swimming, field trips, games and much more.

Kelsy Leavins, Summer Program Coordinator for the City of Swift Current, states, “This program provides resources for kids to try new things, stay active, and have fun this summer.” There will be special events planned each week for the kids to come check out. There is definitely something for everyone.

For more information about this event or to check out the other special events, be sure to check out the City of Swift Current website http://www.swiftcurrent.ca  and click on programs which is under the leisure tab. Here you will find information about all of our summer programs, event calendars, and permission forms for special events.

As a reminder to parents, due to the drop-in nature of the program, Youth Leaders are not, nor will be, accountable for those coming and leaving the program. Please ensure your youth knows when and where they should go if they want to leave the program.
