For the first time, the City of Brooks will be hosting a free, family friendly event to celebrate Diversity Day. The event will be part of the National Family Week celebrations running from Oct. 3-9.

On Diversity Day, Friday, there will be a free cultural dancing session held at In Sequins Studio of Dance (928-2nd Street West). The event will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. during which time there will be trained instructors teaching diverse dancing styles. Participants can choose to learn belly dancing, hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and others.

All ages and skill levels are welcome and people are encouraged to bring their entire family. The overall goal of the event is to have fun and learn something new about a different culture.
