After three weeks of performances, the Swift Current and District Music Festival hosted their 2012 X-Travaganza Awards Ceremony on May 4. The evening was an opportunity for the community to enjoy some of the incredible musical talent right here in the Southwest.

Windscape looking for sponsorship help

This year, opportunities to support Windscape Kite Festival are not limited to sponsorships from local businesses — individuals and families can contribute by participating in the “Friends of Windscape” program.


Fasten your seat belts folks as The Flippin’ Fiddler and his band will soon be back in Medicine Hat as part of a cross Canada tour.  The Scott Woods Show — FIDDLE LEGENDS —will be presented one night only at The Monarch Theatre on Monday, June 4  at 7:30 p.m. and in Swift Current on Tuesday June 5th.

Following the success of their V-Day performance of The Vagina Monologues, a group of Swift Current women will take to the stage again to present A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer: Writings to End Violence Against Women and Girls.
