Stars for Saskatchewan series continues to impress

With a number of encore performances scheduled in this year's Stars for Saskatchewan series, the Swift Current Allied Arts Council is enjoying the success of the series' 44th year, and already looking forward to their upcoming season.

 

Sam Shepard’s True West is a theatrical drama which generally attracts huge crowds wherever it is produced.

Blenders brings Miles to Lyric stage

One of Canada’s most accomplished singer/songwriters, Lynn Miles will perform at the Lyric Theatre Jan. 27, as part of the Blenders music series.

Art Gallery of Swift Current’s current exhibition opened Jan. 12, and presents a dialogue of energy through both clay pieces and photographs.

As a result of the response to the season ticket sales campaign, this season’s Stars for Saskatchewan series is nearly sold out.

Saskatchewan author Dee Hobsbawn-Smith will make an appearance at the Lyric Theatre Jan. 16 as part of the theatre’s Write Out Loud series.

Lyric Theatre stage about to be Savage-d by Smith

The Blenders music series is kicking off the new year with a performance by singer / songwriter Samantha Savage Smith, whose folk-blues style has been likened to that of Feist, Cat Power, and Anita O'Day. Savage Smith will showcase her impressive voice on Jan. 19 at the Lyric Theatre.
