After a first year of many highlights for the Southwest Chapter of the Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA), musicians from across the province added another one when they took to the Lyric Theatre stage on Jan. 7 for an anniversary show.

First launched more than 30 years ago and celebrated as the birth of the environmental movement, Earth Day rolls around April 22 and in Lethbridge it’ll be celebrated when organic growers from the region come together at The Galt (Museum) and offer up samples of their products, informing the public of the bounty available within reach of southern Alberta’s many small communities.
