Citizen West kicks off Stars for Sask. series

The Swift Current Arts Council's 2017/18 Stars for Saskatchewan concert series started on a high note with a performance by the pop/crossover group Citizen West, Sept. 21.

“It’s good for the community,” Eleanor Bowie said of Cowboy Poetry and the Western Art & Gear Show.

Turning it off: There are days when I wake up and to-do lists emerge in my mind. I wake and wonder what day it is and if I am supposed to be somewhere, or if I’ve missed a meeting or appointment.

Old buildings’ histories can be utilized

When I was sixteen-years old, my Aunt Patricia bought St. Patrick's Church in Herbert for a prairie song. The old building was built in 1912 by Father Cabanel, on the same year when Swift Current's Lyric Theatre opened its doors.
