Southeastern artists finalists in show

Three artists from the County of Newell made the final cut at the Alberta Community Art Clubs Association (ACACA) Alberta Wide Show on July 13 as a trio of professional art critiques juried 75 selections to choose the 12 finalists. All are community club members of the Sage Brush Arts Society.

Southern Alberta’s favourite vintage venue is presenting a diverse collection of Canadian talent for its Centre Stage Concert Series this season. The Empress Theatre is
hosting a series of six concerts running September through March. 

The 2018-19 Blenders Music concert series will bring a wide range of live music to the Lyric Theatre stage in Swift Current.

Drawing on real accounts from court proceedings, newspaper articles and city council minutes, this new play by Medicine Hat resident Jay Johnson recounts the reasoning and rebellion surrounding this game-changing era in Alberta's labour history.

A new children’s book helping kids understand mental health issues has been published by Swift Current author, Jessica Williams.  

Artists are using different media to reflect on the cultural importance of horses and cattle in the current exhibition at the West Wing Gallery in Swift Current.
