Some 850 campers from across the country and residents with friends and family enjoyed a delicious pancake and ham breakfast at Cypress Hills Park in celebration of Canada Day, July 1.

After 40 years of entertaining the people of Swift Current and surrounding area, the Odds and Ends finds it necessary to fold up.

Mr. Don Fedorowich was the lucky winner of Swift Current Lacrosse Association's progressive 50/50 draw this season. He is pictured receiving a cheque of $999 from the association's board member Della Farsworth.

The St. John Ambulance training centre in Swift Current is offering a course in June on what every babysitter should know.

Sask. Abilities Council thankful for donation

The Saskatchewan Abilities Council would like to thank the Ladies of the Royal Purple for their generous lunch of ham buns and cookies for all clients and staff on June 5.  Shirley Teilson, Swift Current Royal Purple’s Honored Royal Lady presented a cheque to Janet Dillabaugh, Regional Director in the amount of $200.

After 100 years of looking after people’s physical and spiritual needs in Swift Current, the Salvation Army is getting ready for its centennial celebrations from June 7-9.
